Photoluminescent ultraviolet curing silkscreen inkThis is a high-quality ultraviolet curing screen ink that our customers may use for their own production of photoluminescent products. This silkscreen ink is used in many of our own products. You may ask for quotes on prices by using our contact form or use our online catalogue. The UV curing screen ink is designed for printing on PVC, aluminum- and steel plates. Aluminum and steel plates must be coated with a white basecoat (also available from Metal Safe Sign) before application. For printing, most stencil materials are suitable, but not simplex amber or lacquer type solvent adhesion films. The ink should preferably be printed in lighting having a low ultra-violet content to be completely free from screen stability problems. The area in which the inks are printed should also be protected from direct sunlight. Mesh no. 28 monofilament screens are recommended. A medium squeegee hardness is recommended. The thickness of the cured ink film must be 100 micron. In a modern U.V. drier equipped with two 80 watt/cm per lamp it will cure at 6-7 meters per min. Before printing, the adhesion to the substrate always has to be tested. The ink will be cured to a glossy finish with exceptional chemical and solvent resistance.
Technical data Containers should be tightly closed immediately after use. The U.V. ink should not be stored in direct sunlight or near warm pipes, and should be kept away from peroxides. Please visit our certificate and type approval-pages to see what kind of certificates have been achieved by using this ink. Test results In the tables below, general test results achieved with the MSS-SA-III GY strontium aluminate pigments are shown. They will give you an impression of our product-quality.
