Services: Digital archive systems
Often, necessary drawings and other information are of inferior print-quality; one example is drawings that have been used on the ships and which display signs of wear and bad photocopying. This makes their use a laborious one. Furthermore; bad print-quality may lead to wrong interpretations and understanding of the available information, giving a wrong basis for decisions.
By digitalizing drawings and text pages, the information may later be retrieved on-site or on an external computer system. By digitalizing information, it is easy to order a printout or a plotting of a whole document or parts of it. Furthermore, scanning or retracing documents and drawings, enables the possibility for updating or inserting new information and making alterations of details on the drawings. Document text can be transferred to the plans for plotting, or exported for editing in a text processor. The Digital Archive is equipped with search
facilities that provides fast and efficient location and retrieval of documents and
drawings. The systems are adapted to individual needs, with linking to account plans etc.
The whole Digital Archive with necessary software may be printed on a CD-ROM that can be
accessed without requiring any installation of new software. This makes the product easy
accessible wherever the customer has a computer. |
