Demonstration
of possible utilization of photoluminescent products in Public transport tunnels (SWGS)
These pictures illustrate the use of SWGS in public transportation tunnels. As the
pictures are meant for demonstration purposes only, the photoluminescent products are
fictive and high-lighted. (Click to see animation of the pictures

Situation as-is in the Oslo Subway station "Valkyrie Plass", Norway.
Photoluminescent aluminum (PL-alu), unburnable info signs, placed every 100 meters (300
feet) throughout the tunnel. The signs are anti-tagging protected.
PL-epoxy/acryl paints or PL-alu substrate mounted on cable-carrying profile.
PL-paint or PL-alu substrate on every second sleeper as triple-L to speed up evacuation.
Stop-lines on platform edges to prevent people falling onto the tracks in case of
electrical power-failure, or smoke-filled stations. PL-products to be used: Ceramic tiles both on platform floor and walls incorporated in
existing ceramic tiles, or PL-epoxy paint.
Illustration of PL-SWGS in underground / metro stations and tunnels. Remember: PL-products
never fails! They are not dependent on outside power and are free of maintenance.
